Keeping it Stock. I've always liked the way the stock CJ dashboards looked with the big speedo in the middle. The previous owner cut out the radio and speaker holes which left the interior looking ragged. So to get the dashboard backup to par the first thing I did was replace all the heater and vent control indicators, cables and knobs. Then I had to find a place to mount the Rancho 9000 in cab controls. Not wanting to cut up the dash even more I decided to make a plate to house the shock gauges and cover up the radio hole all at the same time. Using some sheet metal, a metal nibbler, some hole saws and a grinder I got to work. Once the plate was done I spayed it with some bed liner in a can and then pop riveted it into place.

Hand throttle. The hand throttle was bought from Rubicon Express and it came with everything needed. It seems to be comprised of mostly bicycle shifter parts, it also came with the cable and all kinds of cool little brackets. This was a very easy install and it seems to make driving just a little bit more exciting. I ran my cable down the shifter and through the shift boot, under the floorboard then back up the other side of the firewall and onto the throttle body. The kit came with an inline adjuster to take a small amount of slack out of the cable and fine tune the system. There's also an adjuster on the side of the lever to adjust the tension of the cable. It's really cool to pull that little lever and see your gas peddle move up and down!
